Nature graciously provides beautiful surroundings for leisurely walks or vigorous hiking expeditions. Rock hounding opportunities abound in our historic gold mining area. August is the season for berry-picking enthusiasts. We have miles of rivers and lakes you can paddle down or across. In many of the places you can go, it will be only you and the serenity there. If you do decide to take one of these peaceful excursions, you had better have a camera ready, for you could see eagles, osprey, blue herons, moose, bears, or timber wolves. Now this is how one gets truly back to nature.
Nearby Geraldton boasts an excellent golf course as well as shopping. We have two food stores, a drug store, liquor, beer, and clothing stores, plus a very nice hospital, in case of an emergency. |
